There were some unsatisfactory issues with this booking. While the room was clean & tidy, the price was too high for the room size; particularly as we paid for a larger twin. Also, the internet said 'breakfast included', but when we arrived it was only continental breakfast. This place should advertise correctly. It was another for full breakfast. Also when we arrived, although booking over the internet & paying full cost up front, the guy on the reception desk was standing in for the manager & seemed to want to charge us again! He had difficulty finding our booking payment & I had to show him a copy of the 'FINAL PAYMENT PROCESSED' document as he seemed to want us to pay again. NOT GOOD. He was friendly, but didn't know about the booking etc. I may not use this booking site again after this experience. This is a negative review, but a fair one in the circumstances, in my view.
Yes Goulburn was interesting the old Court House was facinating, its open weekdays, built in about 1838. A must is to take one or two meals at the PARAGON RESTURANT. Its in a new main street location & great value. Huge portions at very reasonable cost. We had meals there a number of times. Also the old graveyard in Mortis Rd is a good look in. Very historic. There are some excellent value clothing stores, 'Wimmeys' is one.
Interesting place, with side visits to country villages.
Book Lilac City Motor Inn, or Southern Tablelands Accommodation and Hotels.
