Very clean and comfortable rooms although front desk manner could do with some improvement.

Arrived to check in, man at front desk not overly friendly, somewhat officious rather than welcoming. The room was extremely clean and everything worked. The rooms are advertised as 4 star but are slightly dated but do not impact on your comfort level. Ate at restaurant that evening which was very tastefully decorated with white tablecloths, polished floors etc. Food was fresh and tasty, but a little on the pricey side, eg.

for a main of Fettucine Carbonara. Overall the establishment is an efficient, well-run one and I would recommend it as one of the superior motels in Goulburn, however, front of desk needs to improve his customer service skills.

Goulburn offers a great variety of shops, cafes and restaurants. We ate at the Astor Hotel bistro one evening which has been completely refurbished and seems to be the place to be. Try the Ranch Burger - very nice. Izabella's bistro at the Worker's Club also offers great food and service. Also choice of Thai, Chinese, Lebanese bakery, famous Bryants Pie shop, and various other pubs with bistros.
